‘My Boyfriend Started Taking Prohormones. Should I Be Worried?’

will my boyfriend die it he takes prohormones?

As we continue answering reader’s questions, we come onto this important one: Someone you know is taking prohormones or is thinking about starting. Should you be worried?

This is an important question because if you’re asking it, you care about the answer. You care about the answer because you care about the person you’re worried about.

Here at Prohormone Expert, we want to give you trustworthy and sensible advice. It might not be what you or your partner want to hear. But then if you want scammy, salesy non-advice, there are plenty of other prohormone websites out there that will tell you exactly what you want to hear.

So instead, we’re going to break it down. This is how we see it and if you disagree, tell us.

Prohormones are not ‘Safe’

I’m guessing one of the ways you found this article or this website is by asking the question ‘Are prohormones safe?’ We’re coming from a place where every word on this website is written by people who have extensive experience of prohormone supplementation.

And I can unequivocally say that prohormones are not safe. Unwise or incorrect supplementation can lead to unwanted side effects and in some situations, real health problems.

My advice would be to consult a doctor before starting prohormone supplementation. And spending time reading reputable websites (like this one) to get the best information you can.

Prohormones and designer steroids other supplements, alcohol and driving German sports cars are generally not safe.

But used sensibly and with the right precautions, they can all be enjoyed and used without long term effects. That’s why we promote responsible and well informed use – without that, prohormone supplementation is distinctly unsafe!

“It’s fine honey, they wouldn’t sell it on the internet if it wasn’t safe.”

Prohormones Might Get You In Trouble

Depending on where you live or what your boyfriend or partner does for a living, he could be in for a world of hurt from using prohormones. In some countries, prohormones are legal to buy and use, in others its distinctly illegal and you could get jail time.

We don’t have an exhaustive list of which countries allow prohormone usage, but we do have guides for the US, United Kingdom and India (more to be added soon). Often it’s a bit of a grey area where the law is playing catch up with the supplement industry.

Best idea is to do your own research for where you live. And if you’re not sure, don’t risk it.

Prohormones could also make you fail a workplace, military or sporting drugs test. So make sure you know what’s allowed (I had a job where only drugs that hindered my performance at work were banned so prohormones were all good!)

Prohormones Cost Money

Well Duh! But what we really mean is that if your loved one is going to do a prohormone cycle properly, it’s going to cost more than £40 on a bottle of Halodrol.

He will also need to think about cycle support and also post cycle therapy (sounds scary, but it’s really just a process of getting his body back into balance after the prohormones which includes other supplements and compounds).

All of these products have prices attached. We wouldn’t advise skimping on post cycle therapy supplements as a lot of the ‘budget’ products have limited effects and ineffectual dosages.

Why are We Even Writing This?

A big part of how we keep this site going is from afiliate commissions. That means when you click a link from this site and buy something, we get a bit of money. So why are writing articles like this if we’re also effectively selling the stuff?

If you look at why Prohormone Expert started, you’ll see that it was because exactly this type of straight talking, honest advice didn’t exist anywhere on the internet.

Whatever you or your partner decide to do, we hope that he’ll do it in an informed, responsible and legal way.
